Ryan Turner

Ryan Turner is an interesting fellow whose varied background and wide ranging interest keep him constantly acquiring new skills and getting into new business endeavors. A love for cars led him to start a European auto repair shop, which he ran for five years, before opening a used car dealership. Five years into this new business the Covid-19 pandemic hit and turned the automotive industry upside down. During this time he closed down the dealership and with the help of several like-minded parents in his community worked to open up a chartered public school after the local school system closed down 5 rural schools. Using grassroots funding, creative purchases, and hours of long work the school was able to open with over 300 students.

A love for new business adventures has led him to take on many interesting ideas from starting a print on demand t-shirt website, to VW enthusiast website, to product prototyping and design, to computer network design. Using his barter skills has allowed him to start new businesses and projects on a shoe-string budget and has led to some spectacular successes, and a couple failures along the way.

Seeking to share his decades of trading experiences and knowledge with others Ryan has worked with entrepreneurs and hobbyists to find ways to make their dreams reality. Through this book and thebarterbook.com it is his hope that you are able to find the little boost you need in making good things happen in your life too.
